This is an online, self-paced course and is open to anyone in the Diocese of Leeds who is interested in enabling mission and growth in rural churches. It is intended to stimulate discussion around Rural church Mission, grounded in context.
It is intended for anyone who has a particular interest in Rural Ministry whether they are an individual with a heart for Rural church Mission, a member of a church council or a mission or ministry team.
It will enable participants to:
• be more informed on the issues surrounding Rural church
• locate where further information, resources or support can be found
• reflect prayerfully on what God may already be doing in their context
• prompt discussion and action
It is run by the Lay Training Officer for Ripon Episcopal Area, speaking into the particular context of the Ripon area but is available for anyone in the Diocese of Leeds and will take roughly 2-3 hours to complete online (not including extension activities). It is completely accessible at any time and at your own pace.
